Las montañas han sido un refugio natural para los hombres durante miles de años. Pero la vida allí es dura, difícil, lenta, repetitiva, silenciosa y solitaria. Carmen y su familia viven en la montaña. Su vida de agricultores está marcada por las estaciones del año. Día tras día, Carmen lucha por trabajar y vivir, al igual que las generaciones de mujeres antes que ella, en armonía con los ritmos regidos por la naturaleza. Llega otro año y con él llega la primavera.
