El joven Enrique deja de estudiar en la Universidad y se casa con Juana. Un día conoce a una pintora que le hará descubrir otra vida y confundido empezará a pensar en tomar unas medidas algo drásticas.

Enrique suffers from an accused inferiority complex because he did not finish his university degree and married a humble butcher named Juana. After a dinner with his former classmates, Enrique meets Mónica, a painter, daughter of his old high school teacher, and they have a passionate romance. Despite how much Juana loves him, Enrique will begin to think about taking drastic measures to change his life.
