Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Deb y Mike ven caer un meteorito en el bosque. Cuando se acercan a investigar descubren que se trata de una carpa de circo llena de payasos asesinos. Después de huir de ellos por los pelos, acuden a la comisaría donde chocan con la incredulidad de Kirk, un viejo policía antipático. Sin embargo, ante su insistencia, consiguen la ayuda de Dave, un amigo de la infancia de Deb, que les ayuda en este surrealista caso. Die Studenten Mike und Debbie entdecken, dass außerirdische Clowns mit einem als Zirkuszelt getarnten Raumschiff auf der Erde gelandet sind. Die Aliens suchen sich menschliche Opfer, die sie in Kokons aus Zuckerwatte einspinnen. Zum Glück ist Debbies Ex-Freund Polizist, und so nehmen die drei den Kampf gegen die Invaders auf.

Just outside the town of Crescent Cove, Mike Tobacco (Grant Cramer) and his girlfriend Debbie Stone (Suzanne Snyder) are parked with other couples at the local lovers' lane when they spot a unidentified flying object falling to Earth. Nearby, farmer Gene Green (Royal Dano) also spies the object, and believing it to be Halley's Comet, he ventures into the woods to find the impact site. He instead stumbles upon a large circus tent-like structure, and he and his dog are abruptly captured by mysterious clown-like aliens, the "Klowns". Shortly thereafter, Mike and Debbie arrive to investigate for themselves. Entering the structure, they discover a complex interior with elevators and various bizarre rooms. They soon find a gelatinized Green encased in a cotton candy-like Cocoon (silk) and are spotted by a klown, who shoots popcorn at them from a large gun. The couple flees, pursued by a group of klowns and a balloon animal dog that comes to life.
