In der Voralpenmetropole München hat sich eine ganz besondere Subkultur gebildet: Die Eisbach-Surfer, sportfanatische Beach Boys, die auf einer stehenden Welle im Isarableger Eisbach direkt am Englischen Garten vor Zuschauern ihre Tricks zeigen. Aber eigentlich wollen Dieter, Walter, Quirin, Forian, Gerry und Eli ihre Ruhe haben und sind lediglich dem Spaß verpflichtet. Neben der spektakulären Sucht nach Freiheit und Lebenslust führen sie ein ganz normales Leben als Zivilisten, die ein besonderes Hobby pflegen.
