In a decrepit but fragrant Athenian courtyard of a humble mid-1960s courtyard house, an entire social microcosm lies hidden in plain sight. Here, one can easily spot the avaricious landlady or the perpetually-unemployed family man; the chaste and honest belle of the building; the stalwart lad who is secretly in love with the girl of his dreams; the deluded father, and the dazzling but shallow film star. In the end, love and hate; desire and passion; candour and deceit are all vital components of this little machine in the neighbourhood's bosom; nevertheless, is dreaming for everyone? —Nick Riganas
