话说齐天大圣孙悟空、天篷元帅猪八戒以及卷帘大将沙和尚保护唐僧西天取经，一路上历经千辛万苦，降服妖魔鬼怪无数。这一日，师徒四人来在一片荒山野岭之中。这时一年轻村姑上前求助，孙悟空火眼金睛认出是妖怪白骨精所化，上前将其打跑。然唐三藏肉眼凡胎，嗔怪悟空伤害性命，加上猪八戒煽风点火，紧箍咒念得齐天大圣疼痛难忍。在此之后，白骨精又化作小孩和老头前来诱骗，皆备悟空识破打跑。唐僧恼怒不已，一气之下赶走悟空，由此中了妖怪的奸计……
