Jesse James, Jr.

The frontier town of Sundown seeks to become the western terminus of the National Telegraph Company,but is suddenly shattered by a series of robberies by an organized gang of outlaws. Amos Martin (Karl Hackett), a member of the town council, is the secret leader of the gang, for he will profit if the neighboring town of Fargo is mad the terminus. Johnny Barrett (Don Barry), son of a former Sundown sheriff, is called by the town council to lead the fight against the outlaws. Buy, to their disappointment, he turns out to be a pacifist. Johnny and Arrchie McDonald (Douglas Walton), an Englishman who heads National Telegraph's investigative committee, become friends. When McDonald is robbed and seriously wounded by Martin-henchman Blackie Deane (Robert Kortman), Johnny casts aside his pacifist notion and goes after Deane. The gunman accidentally shoots himself during a fight with Johnny, and the latter is charged with murder, and becomes a fugitive
