Jasperina de Jong (81) leads a retired life in the woods with her dog. She has told everything umpteen times: how beautifully she could sing as a little girl, but preferred to become a ballerina, how Wim Kan did not hire her due to a lack of talent. This turned out to be a mistake: 'Pien' proceeded to have a magnificent career, took potshots at sacred cows, was a feminist pur sang, and a breadwinner, the first one with a one-woman show. But did she spend enough time with her family? And how did she go on after the death of Eric Herfst, her husband, mentor and director?
