Für Pastorin Judith Ehrmann ist ihr Job als Notfallberaterin mehr als nur ein Teil ihres Jobs: Menschen zu helfen ist für sie eine Berufung. Aber wenn eine Mitschülerin ihres Sohnes bei einem Autounfall ums Leben kommt, ist das ungewöhnlich. Judith beginnt zu zweifeln: an sich, ihrem Job – aber auch ihrer Familie. Denn auf einmal scheint alles darauf hinzudeuten, dass ihr eigener Mann und ihr Sohn in den Unfall verwickelt waren und dies nun vertuschen wollen.
