During a night of youthful carousing, Johnny a Vegas hustler and his good friend Grant begin fighting in a blind alley. Watching the scuffle are Gale, Martin, and Amy. Unfortunately when someone gets killed, each of the witnesses saw something different. After the incident, the group takes off toward California and their viewpoints are chronicled via flashback while they try to figure out how everything went so terribly wrong.
