Horst Janssen: 'Ich bin die Gnade Gottes'

Ausnahmekünstler, Lebemensch, Exzentriker und Egomane: Zu Lebzeiten wurde Horst Janssen (1929-1995) als Jahrhunderterscheinung gefeiert. Er gilt bis heute als einer der bedeutendsten Grafiker, Zeichner, Lithografen, Plakatkünstler und Buchillustratoren der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Am 14. November 2014 wäre Horst Janssen 85 Jahre alt geworden. Aus diesem Anlass widmet ARTE dem großen Künstler eine umfassende Dokumentation über Leben und Werk.

Exceptional artist, bon vivant, eccentric and egomaniac: during his lifetime Horst Janssen (1929-1995) was celebrated as an apparition of the century. To this day he is considered to be one of the most important graphic artists, draftsmen, lithographers, poster artists and book illustrators of the second half of the 20th century. Horst Janssen would have turned 85 on November 14, 2014. On this occasion, ARTE is dedicating a comprehensive documentary about life and work to the great artist.
