商売敵で犬猿の仲の有閑マダム率いるママさんバレーボール・チームに、浪花のシングルマザーが仲間と共に勝負を挑んでいく姿を描いたスポーツ・コメディ。監督は「風の王国」の三原光尋で、本作が劇場用本篇デビュー作。脚本は久保田傑と三原監督の共同。撮影を「ロマンス」の本田茂が担当している。主演は「釣りバカ日誌8」の室井滋。関西テレビ開局40周年記念作品。大阪地区では1998年9月26日に先行公開された。
