Directeur de la bibliothèque d'une ville de la grande banlieue parisienne, Antoine Charpentier dirige également une association d'aide aux devoirs. Chloé et Colin Marot, deux faux jumeaux, ne peuvent pas se passer l'un de l'autre. En effet, Chloé est sourde et a toujours compté sur son frère pour cacher son handicap à ses amis, mais aussi à sa famille. Quand Antoine fait sa connaissance, il ne tarde pas à découvrir son secret.
