25歳という若さで乳がんと診断された安武千恵は苦しい治療を乗り越え結婚、そして奇跡的に授かった娘はなのためにも元気に生きたいと願うが、ほどなくしてがんが再発。生き続けたいと願う一方、もし自分が死んでも娘が困らないように「自分で生きる力を遺したい」と、4歳になった娘にみそ汁作りを教え始める。その5か月後、幼い娘と夫を残して千恵は亡くなる。
