The famous juggler Turell has decided to throw the constellation of the Great Bear with his balls in such a way that it remains in the air for seconds. But he doesn't make it - a son would be the way out, he could teach him this number. After many affairs, he finally meets Christine and gives him the boy he longed for. But when his son begins to train, Turell realizes that little Christian has no connection to the art of juggling. Now the father only works with effective tricks; he has long since given up his dream. When he injures himself, blood poisoning is the result. His wife and son are standing by his bed, and Turell raves once again in his feverish dreams, believing that he has found the secret for the big number: But death puts an end to his imagination.
