Eine junge Frau hat den Nachtkiosk ihrer verstorbenen Mutter geerbt. Sie versucht, ihre Trauer und die geplante Trennung von ihrem Freund zu überwinden, indem die sich von Freunden und Kunden Geschichten zum Thema Glück erzählen lässt, die sie mit einer Videokamera aufnimmt. Während sich die Kassetten häufen, erkennt sie, dass auch die anderen Glückssucher auf der Flucht vor dem Schicksal und ihrer Einsamkeit sind.
