Der Dokumentarfilm beobachtet, wie sich die Lehrerin einer Kölner Vorbereitungsklasse um unterschiedlich lernwillige Schülerinnen und Schüler kümmert.

교사 우테 베키오는 분쟁국에서 독일로 이민 온 아이들이 학교에 적응할 수 있도록 돕는다. 그 과정에서 아이들은 여러 사건들을 겪으며 성장하고, 감독은 새로운 사회와 언어에 적응하며 자라나는 아이들과 곁에서 든든한 버팀목이 되어주는 베키오의 모습을 카메라에 담는다.
