Rui writes a screenplay for her filmmaker boyfriend. As she patiently waits for him to come home, her identity as a lover and a screenwriter starts to shake. Meiko is suspended from her acting career because of mental illness. One day, her brother comes and tells her their father shows tendencies of dementia. Their stagnated lives encounter, then slowly move forward. Located in the port of Hommoku, once requisitioned by the US military after the WWII, the neighborhood has no trace of its history. Forgotten as it is, two women suffers "irresistible oblivion" and "nowhere-ness" in modern Japan.
