Über eine fingierte Zeitungsannonce wird die Gerichtsvollzieherin Engel für eine Millionenerbin gehalten. Sie soll eine Nerzfarm geerbt haben. Ihre Schuldner meinen nun, dass sie als Millionärin die Schulden übernehmen kann. Einige Mitgiftjäger haben es auch auf sie abgesehen. Paulchen, der die Anzeige aufgegeben hat verliebt sich in Frau Engel und am Schluss werden sie auch ein Paar.
