El filme se trata de un documental acerca de la vida de Josefina Castellví, una gran mujer y científica. Los recuerdos de hielo es, además, la historia de un reencuentro y de una despedida. La película muestra cómo Josefina vuelve a su paraíso helado, la Antártida, tras 25 años sin haber estado allí para verlo por última vez. Allí, Josefina se convirtió en la primera mujer en dirigir una base científica en la Antártida, trabajo que realizó durante un total de 6 años.
The film is a documentary about the life of Josefina Castellví, a woman and scientist. Memories of Ice is also the story of a reunion and a farewell.
