一見ヤマトナデシコ風だが実はブリッコで毒舌家のユリ、キュートでボーイッシュなケイの2人はWWWA(世界福祉事業協会)のトラブルコンサルタントとして宇宙の事件解決に駆けまわる。2人のコードネームは“ラブリーエンゼル”。だが、彼女たちの行く所に必ず破壊がつきまとうということで、ついたアダ名が「ダーティペア」。西暦2141年、ラブリーエンゼルことダーティペアに新たな指令が下った!!特殊レア・メタル元素“ヴィゾリウム”をめぐる国家紛争の解決である。ヴィゾリウムの宝庫・惑星アガーナに到着し、さっそく試掘プラントで調査を開始した2人。そこで、かつて別の事件で取り逃がした若き大泥棒・カースンに出くわす。しかし、カースンを捕まえ、彼の持っていたヴィゾリウムのサンプルを取り上げたその時、突如、身の毛もよだつ巨大な怪物たちが襲いかかってきた!!大乱闘の末、かろうじて脱出したユリとケイ。だが、この事件の背後には、謎の科学者・ワッツマンの存在があった。ワッツマンはヴィゾリウムの原鉱石となる古代生物“サディンガ”の化石から、人類の後継者となる超人類を生み出そうとしていたのだ。ユリとケイはワッツマンの野望を阻止できるのか?そして、カースンの真の目的とは何か?ダーティペア決死の肉弾戦の幕が開く!!

87년 개봉된 더티 페어의 극장판은 일단 달라진 더티 페, 아니 러블리 엔젤의 위상을 느낄 수 있다. 우선 제 4스튜디오에서 제 1스튜디오로 제작 스튜디오가 옮겨진 것이 그것. 야스히코 요시카즈의 대작 극장 아니메 아리온 이후 제 1스튜디오의 다음 극장 아니메가 바로 이 더티 페어 극장판인 것이다. 연출은 마시모 코이치. 타츠노코 프로 시절 오시이 마모루, 니시쿠보 미즈호, 우에다 히데히토와 함께 타츠노코의 4대 천왕이라 불리던 마시모 코이치는 후일 여성 버디물의 대표적인 연출가로 알려지게 되는데, 여성 버디물의 시초인 더티 페어와 여성 버디물의 대가의 만남이라는 점 역시 주목할만하다 하겠다. 이외에도 스튜디오 누에의 간판 메카닉 디자이너 미야타케 카즈타카가 참여하는 등, 선라이즈의 대표작으로서 부족함이 없는 진용을 갖추고 있다. 이 작품에서 또 하나 인상적인 부분은 바로 모리모토 코지의 몽환적인 오프닝 애니메이션이다. 마치 007 영화의 인트로를 보는 듯한 관능적이고 몽환적인 영상은 극장 아니메로서의 품격을 여실히 보여주는 것으로, 후일 독보적인 스타일의 아니메 뮤직 비디오를 제작하며 명성을 쌓아가는 모리모토 코지의 출발점이 되기도 하였다.

After stopping a group of Vizorium smugglers, Kei and Yuri, the Lovely Angels (more commonly known as the Dirty Pair), are sent on a mission to Agerna, a planet rich with Vizorium, a mineral necessary for space travel. They are sent to stop the mysterious attacks on mining operations that have the governments of the world pointing fingers and blaming each other. While the pair bathe, Carson D. Carson, a former member of the group of smugglers they stopped on their last mission, interrupts their baths by falling through a vent. While Kei and Yuri get out of the bathtubs and question Carson, they are attacked by strange alien monsters that force the Angels to flee, leaving their equipment behind and wearing nothing but towels.

Agerna es un planeta rico en Vizorium, un mineral necesario para los viajes en el espacio. Una serie de misteriosos ataques en los complejos mineros tienen a los gobiernos del mundo echándose las culpas los unos a los otros. La World Welfare & Works Association (Asociación para el Bienestar y los Trabajos del Mundo) envía a sus mejores agentes para investigar. Pero, ¿estarán a la altura las adorables chicas para detener a un científico loco empeñado en llevara a la máxima evolución a una dormida raza alienígena? Además, un ladrón intenta robar una botella de vino de cosecha de la II Guerra Mundial, y lo que es seguro es que nadie en el planeta está a salvo. Más caos, más violencia e incluso más destrucción que nunca cuando las Dirty Pair asumen su caso más importante.

O planeta Algerna é rico no minério conhecido como Vizoriun, que é usado como matéria-prima e combustível para viagens espaciais. Uma série de ataques de estranhas criaturas às usinas de processamento de vizoriun, desencadeia uma crise que gera acusações mútuas entre as duas nações que exploram o minério no planeta. Uma investigação de contrabando de vizoriun faz Kei e Yuri cruzarem o caminho do ladrão Carson D. Carson que busca uma relíquia da segunda guerra mundial, essa busca os levará ao gênio louco Dr. Wattsman, um recluso cientista que acredita que o vizoriun traz dentro de sim a chave para o próximo passo da evolução genética, uma nova espécie que irá substituir a raça humana como dominante do universo. Sem dúvida o caso mais perigoso que as Lovely Angels já encararam.
