O jornalista Celso Afonso Gay de Castro morreu aos 41 anos, na cidade de Porto Alegre, em circunstâncias suspeitas. O militante político de esquerda foi exilado durante a ditadura militar brasileira. Durante esse período, ele percorreu diversos países, como Argentina, Venezuela, Chile e França, sempre carregando consigo sua família. Uma vida marcada pela história da luta armada, exílio e ausência. Sua repentina morte deixou seus familiares com um vazio e um mistério, que a filha Flavia tenta desvendar.

In DIARIO DE UMA BUSCA (Diary, Letters, Revolutions), the director tells the story of her father, Brazilian activist Celso Afonso Gay de Castro, whose life was intertwined with the political struggles that shattered Latin America starting in the 1960s. His life was a combination of repeated exiles and political activism, from the enthusiasm and hope of the early days until the disillusion of his final years. He died tragically at age 41, in the apartment of an Nazi he was perhaps investigating on. A two-part film, featuring a childhood lived in exile, crossed by the father's letters...
