재활용 수거 일을 하며 삶을 버텨내려 하지만 탈출구가 보이지 않는 ‘태식’. 네일 아티스트를 꿈꾸지만, 노래방 도우미로 살아가는 ‘수은’. 우연히 하룻밤을 보내게 된 둘은 이내 필연적인 비극과 마주한다. 과연 그들은 한 번 들어가면 나올 수 없는 붉은 사막에서 안녕할 수 있을까?
