Max will Wanda zurück, nachdem sie sich getrennt haben. Er schickt Ludorf, der sich als Kriminalist ausgibt, zu ihr. Später versteckt sie Max vor der Polizei, obwohl dieser nicht gesucht wird. Max bemüht sich, sie zurückzugewinnen. Ihr neuer Freund Bibow meldet Max, doch die Polizei greift nicht ein. Max und Wanda nähern sich wieder an und reflektieren ihre Vergangenheit. Wanda trennt sich von Bibow, entscheidet sich aber auch gegen eine neue Beziehung mit Max.
