On 9 November 1989, young Jenny Ecker from Bad Soden am Taunus decides to move to East Berlin to live with her boyfriend. Jenny's father, a rich businessman who himself fled from the East to the West many years ago, does not agree. On the way to her boyfriend, she is pursued by her father, who promises all the people he meets, first a reward of 100,000 DM, later a million DM for her capture. After a short time, the group of pursuers grows considerably.
