Christmas in the City

Craignant la faillite de la confiserie qu'elle a héritée de son père, Wendy, accompagnée de sa fille âgée de six ans, part en ville avant Noël dans l'espoir de gagner de quoi régler les créanciers. Grâce à son amie Angie, elle trouve un emploi temporaire chez Wolman, le plus célèbre grand magasin de la ville, où Noël est un moment privilégié. Mais la directrice du marketing veut moderniser l'établissement à tout prix et met à mal les traditions qui, pour Wendy et les propriétaires du magasin eux-mêmes, sont l'essence de la magie de Noël. Qui aura le dernier mot dans la querelle des "anciens" et des "modernes" ?

Dopo la chiusura dell'attività di famiglia in una piccola cittadina, Wendy e la figlia di sei anni Grace si trasferiscono nella grande città, dove un vecchio amico offre a Wendy un lavoro nel reparto giocattoli di Wolmans. L'entusiasmo di Wendy però dura poco a causa di Teanna, la nuova consulente del negozio che sotto Natale decide di rimpiazzare Babbo Natale con un modello di biancheria intima maschile. Proprio quando Grace comincerà a perdere la sua fede nello spirito natalizio, Wendy si renderà conto di dover ripristinare il vero significato del Natale nel negozio prima che sia troppo tardi.

Wendy Carroll and her six-year-old daughter Grace live in a small town where Christmas is everywhere. She gets a foreclosure notice three weeks before Christmas on her father's candy store which she has been running for the last five years. To make some extra money in order to save the candy store, Wendy and Grace travel to the big city, where they stay with Wendy's friend Angie from back home who just got a major part in a play. Angie works at Wolman's - the city's largest department store - where she takes Wendy to apply for a temp job. While waiting for Angie to check in, Wendy meets Tom, who manages the store and offers her a job in the toy department. She thinks the store is amazing, with all the Christmas holiday cheer; unfortunately her excitement doesn't last long when the store's manager, Teanna, destroys the Christmas spirit throughout the store and replaces Santa with a hunky male underwear model surrounded by elfin "babes."
