Printemps 2017, dans l'entre-deux tours de l'élection présidentielle française. Pierre, 25 ans, étudiant boursier dans une grand école parisienne loge chez Francine, 75 ans, clouée par le handicap dans un fauteuil roulant. Ils assistent, perplexes et désorientés, à la kermesse électorale qui se joue au dehors. Ils sont de bords politiques et de conditions sociales opposées, mais ils se livrent l’un à l’autre. En attendant le verdict des urnes, Pierre essaie de s’occuper du corps de Francine, et Francine essaie de soigner le ressentiment sourd de Pierre.

Spring 2017, in between the two rounds of the French presidential election. Pierre, a 25-year-old scholarship holder studying in a big Parisian school, lives with 75-year-old Francine, who is disabled and wheelchair-bound. Politically and socially opposed, they are perplexed and disoriented as they witness the unfolding electoral spectacle. While waiting for the results, they engage with each other, as Pierre tries to take care of Francine’s body and she attempts to heal his voiceless resentment.
Emmanuel Marre (melhor curta de ficção em 2017 com “Le film de l’été”) regressa ao IndieLisboa com “D’un chateau l’autre”, uma docu-ficção intimista sobre um jovem eleitor, indeciso entre Macron e Le Pen. O filme venceu o Leopardo de Ouro em 2018.
