En 1950, la noche del 7 de septiembre, la policía toma las calles de varias ciudades francesas. Cuatrocientas personas que años antes habían luchado y derramado su sangre hasta la muerte para liberar al mundo del Fascismo, son detenidas y expulsadas de Francia. La mano invisible de Estados Unidos se muestra tras esta operación. Hoy, el último de esos camaradas continúa viviendo en el mismo lugar donde, de manera hostil, le colocó aquella democracia por la que luchó durante la II Guerra Mundial.
