Maria (Soraia Chaves), a high-end call girl, is hired by Mouros (Joaquim de Almeida) to seduce Meireles (Nicolau Breyner), the mayor of Vilanova, in an attempt to get him to authorize a multinational company to build a high-quality tourist resort. Meanwhile, Madeira (Ivo Canelas) and Neves (José Raposo), police officers from the PJ, discover the signs of corruption and start investigating Meireles. Everything gets even more complicated when Madeira discovers that Maria, the passion of his life, is the bait that will force the politician to give in.
