تدور قصة العمل حول الدكتور حلمي والذي يقع في حب المطربة أمينة ويتزوجها، ولكن عائلته تعترض على هذه الزيجة نظرًا لأن أمينة من أسرة فقيرة، وتحاول والدته بمساعدة ابنة أختها علية في التفريق بين حلمي وأمينة، وتتصاعد الأحداث.
