Bout de Zan est un jeune homme très précoce ! Quand le cirque arrive en ville, il fait ce que n'importe quel enfant pourrait faire dans cette situation : il vole l'éléphant du cirque !!! Plus tard, il s'assoit sur le trottoir avec l'éléphant et supplie les gens – avec une pancarte indiquant « aveugle depuis la naissance ».
