In the near-future year of 2049, humanity has become aware for a number of years that the Earth will have an unavoidable collision with a large-scale comet. Yuuma is a boy obsessed with space, robots, and the impending collision. He has an encounter with an extraterrestrial being, which he finds out is connected to the incoming comet.

Sawatari Yuuma est un jeune écolier particulièrement passionné par l’espace et tout ce qui touche de près ou de loin à l’astronomie.
Lorsque ses parents font l’acquisition d’un véritable robot, le garçon est d’abord extrêmement enthousiasmé, avant de se rendre compte qu’il ne s’agit ni plus ni moins que d’un simple robot ménager.
Bien qu’un peu déçu, Yuuma tente toutefois de faire la conversation à l’automate, en lui parlant notamment de sa passion pour l’espace.
C’est alors que soudainement, l’engin tombe en panne avant d’être soudainement contrôlé à distance par ce qui prétend être un vaisseau alien à la dérive !
Pour retourner dans l’espace, les êtres venus d’ailleurs sont formels : ils ont besoin de l’aide du jeune garçon…

Nel 2049 l'umanità si è accorta che da diversi anni la Terra è in rotta di collisione con una cometa di grandi dimensioni. Yūma è un ragazzino ossessionato dallo spazio, dai robot e dall'imminente collisione che un giorno incontra un extraterrestre che è collegato alla cometa che sta arrivando.
