A loving portrait of a small Louisiana town, created at the site of the world's largest lumber mill, that is examined through the lens of a 27 year-old charm school for girls run by Miss Dixie Gallaspy. Director and native son Steve Richardson with writer/editor Jennifer Harrington together find the many charms of this close community, and introduce us to the residents who inhabit churches, charm schools, hideouts, music studios and beekeeping outfits and who simmer together to make up this culture with its deep conventions that define life in this isolated but storied place firmly located in the American South.
