The events of Blackstar Warrior take place some time before the events portrayed in Star Wars and only contain references to the plot of the first film, although the main character, Lando, appears in "The Empire Strikes Back." The story takes place on a casino planet of unknown name owned by Lando, the Millennium Falcon (before Lando lost it to Han Solo playing cards) and aboard the Malfeasance, an Imperial star destroyer.
