"ילדי השמש" היה הכינוי שניתן לילדי הקיבוצים, ילדי מהפכת שמש העמים בארץ ישראל. הוריהם, מייסדי הקיבוצים, היגרו מאירופה וניסו ליצור בפלשתינה חברה חדשה שבה תוחלף המשפחה המסורתית בזו הקולקטיבית, רצון היחיד יוכפף לטובת הכלל וכולם יחיו בשוויון.
