Still Holding On follows a day-in-the-life of an 11-year-old boy named Oliver and his inseparable friend, a plush stuffed lion named Rory. After numerous encounters of people pushing Oliver to get rid of Rory - kids at school, the school counselor, his brother's sister, and ultimately himself - Oliver finds himself conflicted and ashamed for holding on to the one thing he cares about most. It isn't until his older brother and caretaker, Jesse, reveals that he still carries around his stuffed animal that Oliver understands it's never the right time to let go of something, and someone, you love.
