The story and screenplay of this film has been inspired by the first volume of renowned Bengali litterateur Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel Srikanta. The Srikanta of the eponymous novel was a rather strange creature, unable to remain still somewhere for too long a time, travelling from one place to another like a nomad, in search of life. And because of his travels he came across numerous men and women and the many strange incidents of these strangers’ lives came to get entangled with his.
