妻とその愛人を殺害した罪により、１４年の服役を終えた男・篠原が、事件が起きた町に戻ってきた。彼の目的は、妻を殺し自分を罠にはめた真犯人に復讐することーー篠原は、事件の捜査を担当した刑事・松尾と、その情報屋・西の協力を得、妻を殺した真犯人がヤクザの若頭・財前であることを知る。早速、財前殺害に向け、西の手ほどきを受けつつ銃撃の訓練を始める篠原。しかし、事態は次第に思わぬ方向に転がりはじめるーー
