20世纪30年代初，战火烧遍古老的华夏大地。但即便如此，仍旧有人偏安一隅，享受老婆孩子热炕头的康宁生活。周家镇上，住着天地县首富周旺德（范伟 饰），这个老财主经营钱庄，生财有道，每天摸个热乎的生鸡蛋吃下去滋补身体，获得有滋有味。这一日，令他坐立不安的消息传来。“赤匪”攻陷县城，老财忙不迭地带着夫人皮娘娘（王雅捷 饰）找地方避难。不久，红军一支队伍进驻周家镇，却因任务急于离开，为此组织命令机枪班战士诸葛旦（毛孩儿 饰）留在镇上看管一批重要物资。偏巧诸葛和佃户郭老根的儿子小宝长得一模一样，因此组织将计就计让诸葛以小宝的身份出现在老财面前。 有趣、好玩而又惊险的故事交替发生，老财和小宝之间将会发生怎样的奇遇？
