TV shows I watched a couple of times and I hardly remember doing it.
Before Ally and The Practice, David E. Kelley was behind this superlative series. Picket Fences followed the lives of the residents of the small town of Rome, Wisconsin, where weird things happened. Cows giving birth to human babies, a spate of people turning up dead in freezers, sex change teachers, a revolving door of mayors who never lasted very long - and one who even spontaneously combusted! Struggling to maintain order in this Twin Peaksesque environment is Sheriff Jimmy Brock. Married to the town doctor, Jill, they are attempting to bring up their three kids Kimberly, Matthew and Zachary against the odds.
We travel through time to help history along... give it a push when it's needed. When the Omni's red it means history's wrong. Our job is to get everything back on track. Green light kid, We did it!
Jesse is an alien from another planet, convicted of political crimes and sent to Earth which is to serve as his "prison." He is accompanied by a small floating robot, "Control," which is charged with guarding and supervising him as his parole officer. Both are quickly adrift in a strange world with unfamiliar customs, and Jesse has to make his way through Earth (specifically Los Angeles), hoping for the day when his sentence is lifted (which will occur when he learns compassion) and he can return home. Like most drifters that get their own TV series, Jesse finds himself each week embroiled with crooks preying on the innocent and ends up using his alien powers to help them.

Weird Science is a show based on the 1985 John Hughes movie of the same name. High school geeks Wyatt Donnelly and Gary Wallace create their dream girl, a magical genie named Lisa, on Wyatt's computer. Having a genie leads up to five seasons of unique adventures for the guys. The theme song for the series is the same as the movie- "Weird Science" by 80s group Oingo Boingo.
Some 15 years after an alien was stranded briefly on Earth, he returns to rejoin the son he left behind and to search for the woman he fell in love with. He assumes the identity and likeness of photojournalist Paul Forrester, whose dead body lies undiscovered in a remote area due to a helicopter crash. He is again being pursued by George Fox, the US government agent who has been obsessed with capturing him since his original visit to Earth.
