Ordered to teach a martial arts class of rambunctious bunny kittens, Po tells stories of each of the Furious Five's pasts.
Master Shifu assigns Po to host the annual Winter Feast at the Jade Palace, a highly ritualized formal occasion where all the Kung Fu masters of China attend, insisting on the perfection of the event. Although excited, Po also wishes to spend the holiday with his father Mr. Ping, and rejects the finest chefs in China in an attempt to have him cater the event. However, Mr. Ping believes Po is more concerned with his duties as the Dragon Warrior, and adamantly remains at his restaurant to feed the townsfolk who have nowhere else to eat for the holiday.
Under the pretense of an emergency in the dead of night, Master Po (Kung Fu Panda) (Jack Black) leads Master List of Kung Fu Panda characters#Master Tigress (Angelina Jolie) and Master List of Kung Fu Panda characters#Master Mantis (Seth Rogen) into breaking into the new Masters' Council exhibit in tribute of Masters List of Kung Fu Panda characters#Master Thundering Rhino, List of Kung Fu Panda characters#Master Storming Ox, and List of Kung Fu Panda characters#Master Croc. Even though Tigress and Mantis are annoyed at the deception, Po engages their interest in the story of how the trio of masters first met.
The introduction, which takes place a bit before ''Kung Fu Panda 3'', shows Po (Kung Fu Panda) realizing that his dad, Mr Ping, has been giving away his things as bonus gifts to customers, including his toys of the Furious Five. As he searches for them, Oogway's narration asks whether there is any real difference between an accident and destiny, thus setting the scene for the story.
Po goes on a new quest - with his adopted duck father Mr. Ping and the red panda Master Shifu - to bring the Liquid of Ultimate Power to the Palace for the Emperor. Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor's Quest (or simply The Emperor's Quest) is a 4D motion simulator attraction in the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. It is featured in the newly refurbished DreamWorks Theatre, a re-design of the previous Shrek 4-D attraction that will showcase all characters from DreamWorks Animation's various works, starting with those from the Kung Fu Panda franchise.
