歌舞伎町でホストをやっていたレイジは、客の女性が犯した横領に関わっているとして警察に逮捕される。半年後出所したレイジに待っていたものは、7億3,000万という多額の借金と仲間の裏切り。借金を返すことが出来なければ、レイジは死ぬことになる。途方にくれるレイジの前に真壁恭一と名乗る弁護士が現れる。鎌倉に豪邸を構える令嬢・鷹園亜子の、生き別れた兄を探してやって来たのであった。レイジは彼女の財産で借金を返済しようと企み、亜子の兄として鷹園家に乗り込む。女性をだますことを仕事にしてきたようなレイジにとって、小娘一人を丸め込むなどたやすいことに思えたが、そこにいたのは心をかたくなに閉ざした盲目の少女だった。
Julian has lived off with the money he lures from his rich female customers. But now he faces usurious debts from a hasty expansion of his business, and he will be killed unless he clears the debt in one month. The only way to save himself is to pretend to be the long-lost brother of an heiress and kill her to get her huge fortune. Min, the blind heiress, cold-hearted like Julian, slowly opens herself to him, and he, too, falls for her. But Julian has to pay his creditor and what makes it worse for him is that the illness that took Min's eyesight relapsed, threatening her life.
주인공은 유년의 버려진 상처와 첫사랑의 잔인한 실패로, 여자주인공은 부모의 이혼과 엄마와 단 하나의 형제인 오빠와 결별 후 시각장애로 찬란한 삶을 꿈꾸지 못한다. 남자에게 삶은 그냥 연명이고, 여자에게 삶은 외롭고 고단함의 연속이다. 그러나, 이들이 만나는 시점부터 극이 전개되는 내내, 설레고, 따뜻해지는 이유는, 그들이 그들도 모르게 끝없이 삶과 인간에게서 희망을 발견하는 때문이다. 사랑이 장난처럼 되어버린 세상에, 사랑의 숭고함마저 농담처럼 흐르는 세상에서 퇴색되지 않은 감동과 환희, 숱한 의미가 넘치는, 사랑의 참된 의미를 찾아보려 한다.
