Founded by writer/producer Mai Meshal in the early 1990s, Producer Rani Meshal, continues the Dana Film Production and Distribution’s long-standing history in the world of cinema after his deepening in the film industry and his studies of cinematography at MetFilm School London. Dana Film Production and Distribution was distinguished by a number of films that enriched the history of the Arab cinema, such as Romantica and Leeh Ya Banafsig? that ranked by critics among the 100 best Egyptian films. The company collaborated with a number of salient stars such as Farouk Al Fishawy, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Elham Shahin and others. It was also famous for the boldness in discovering new faces, as it was the first to give lead roles to stars such as Ahmed Al-Saqa, Nelly Karim, Ramez Galal, and Mustafa Shaaban.
